Browned Butter Chocolate Chip Cookies - Oct 23

Who doesn't love a chocolate chip cookie? Every year we make dozens on dozens of the Nestlè Tollhouse chocolate chip cookies around Christmas time, to give away to loved ones.

No hate to Nestlè (or my mom who makes them every year), but the recipe I am about to share just elevates such a simple, classic cookie. I found this recipe while browsing on

Pintrest, which is my favorite place to look for recipes or any type of inspiration for different

things. I have been obsessed with these lately and they pair great fresh out of the oven with Trader Joe's French Vanilla Ice Cream.

Also want to note that if you don't know how to brown butter, before skipping the article above the recipe (which is what I usually do), there is a tutorial link to how to properly brown butter on the stove. I also like to do unsalted butter when going to cook it, because the salt will sink to the bottom, you can always add some in the dry ingredients.

The brown butter really deepens the flavor and gives the base of the cookie a lot more body. The smell of the butter once its browned is divine, almost like caramel. If you end up making them, please let me know how you loved them!
